Hipgnosis
Hipgnosis var en britisk grafisk designer-gruppe som spesialiserte seg på kreative platecovere for kjente band som for eksempel Pink Floyd, Genesis, Led Zeppelin, 10CC og The Alan Parsons Project. Hipgnosis besto hovedsakelig av Storm Thorgerson, Aubrey Powell og senere Peter Christopherson. Hipgnosis avsluttet virksomheten i 1983, men Thorgerson arbeidet frem til han døde i 2013 med å lage platecovere i samme stilen.
Hipgnosis' stil var hovedsakelig abstrakte og absurde fotografier av ordinære personer og gjenstander i en ekstraordinær setting. Eksempler er blant annet Pink Floyds Meddle der et nærbilde skal forestille lydbølger som går inn i et øre, og Wish You Were Here, der to dresskledde personer håndhilser mens den ene av dem står i flammer.
