Romaldo Giurgola

Romaldo "Aldo" Giurgola AO (2 September 1920 – 16 May 2016) was an Italian-Australian academic, architect, professor and author. Giurgola was born in Rome. He was a partner in the Philadelphia firm Mitchell/Giurgola Architects from 1958 until his death in 2016. He became an Australian citizen in 2000. He was known for designing the Parliament House in Canberra.[1]

Giurgola died in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory on 16 May 2016, at the age of 95.[2]
