Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is an action-adventure video game. It was published by Electronic Arts and was developed by Respawn Entertainment.[1]

It was released on April 28, 2023 for the PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.[2] It was also announced that a version would be released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.[3]

The game is set five years after the events of the last game. In the game, the player controls Cal Kestis, a Jedi Knight and the main character from the last game. Kestis is in hiding and trys to help take down the Galactic Empire.[4]

It is the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order which was released in 2019.

Reception

The game was very well liked by game critics. Critics said that they liked the action, writing, and visuals. However, critics didn't like that the combat or the framerate issues on the PC version.[5][6][7][8]

In May 2023, the game became the most downloaded game on the PlayStation Store in Canada, the United States and Europe.[9]

The game also won awards and was nominated for many others, it won a Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media.[10]

It was also nominated for Best Performance (Cameron Monaghan as Cal Kestis) and Best Action/Adventure Game at the 2023 The Game Awards, as well as Ultimate Game of the Year, Best Lead Performer (Monaghan), Best Storytelling, and PlayStation Game of the Year.[11][12]
