Merger of articles about Chinese prefectures

I notice that you have added suggestions about the merger of certain articles about Chinese prefecture-level entities. I am well aware of this problem. Most such entities have robot-produced doublet articles. In all, there are about 37000 robot articles about China with mostly trivial information. They are of great concern for us, both as regards China and as regards other countries.

I have an ongoing project to move relevant information from the robot-produced prefecture articles into the manually written ones and then eventually to erze the robot articles. This will take some time since a large part of it cannot be automatized. There is no need for you to add suggestions about this to the articles. Thank you for your interest. Thanks for your message, Roufu. I thought it'd be of help if I marked which articles are duplicates of which other articles, as in several cases it is not that obvious. But if you are sure that this work is not necessary, I'll just mark the dupes on Wikidata.

What I am doing is a small part of the project Wikipedia:Projekt alla platser-städning which has been going on for some time now.

You should find all prefecture-level articles in categories with names "Kategori:Orter på prefekturnivå i [Province Name]". It is easy to see from the names which were manually written. Thry have interwiki links to other languages, the robot pages in general omly to Cebuano. Roufu (diskussion) 25 april 2018 kl. 21.28 (CEST)
