What are the requirements for local psexec usage?
Background I am currently studying for OSCP and trying to understand the access controls and security measures of Windows. I have learned that no one except of Administrator(RID=500), even members of Administrators group, cant connect to the machine using PsExec. This is due to UAC remote restrictions (source: Microsoft): When a user who is a member of the local Administrators group on the target remote computer establishes a remote administrative connection by using the net use *\\remotecomputer\Share$ command, for example, they won't connect as a full administrator. The user has no elevation potential on the remote computer, and the user cannot perform administrative tasks. If the user wants to administer the workstation with a Security Account Manager (SAM) account, the user must interactively log on to the computer that is to be administered with Remote Assistance or Remote Desktop, if these services are available. Questions 1) When running PsExec locally as unprivileged user. Can I execute commands as a user that is member of Administrators group if i know its password? 2) How do the "UAC remote restrictions" affect other options to spawn the shell: WinRM or WMI. What are the requirements? Do I only have to be the user that is a member of Remote Management group? I really appreciate any help you can provide.
How to Update/Change KeySystems: com.microsoft.playready.2000 to 3000 for 4K media
I have a problem where Im trying to watch Netflix and disney+ in 4K but every time I try It wont go higher than 1080p. My computer is more than capable of handling 4K with ease as I Have a RTX 3070Ti Graphics Card, and an i7-14700F CPU. Im running on Windows 10 pro, My Computer is HDCP compatible, yes I am using a HDMI 2.1 cable, And I have HEVC installed. I am also connected to Ethernet and my Wifi is more than fast enough to stream 4k as it works on the 4k chromecast in the house. There is literally nothing else I can do except change my microsoft playready version to 3.0 (3000). On microsoft Edge I have looked at the other requirements to run 4k in GPU internals and I Have DRM Experiment turned on. Some help would be greatly appreciated Because This is the reason Netflix app and Edge is force using AVC instrad of HEVC.
Copilot Studio Action Unable to find author authentication
Hi All, I am trying to call a power automate workflow using Action in a topic using author authentication. But I am unable to find the author authentication in action properties. Please find the screenshot below. Actually my requirement is I need to impersonate the end user who is using the copilot by using service account. As I need to publish this copilot in my custom website and I am not looking for end user authentication. I need to impersonate the end user using service account. More nonsense: the top of the Excel forum now looks like this: There are two 'Start a Discussion' buttons. Clicking the 'Microsoft Community Hub' results in Clicking the link 'Go to community home' results in exactly the same error. There is no link to this Lounge, as there used to be. i had configured MDI to send logs to my syslog server. i gave its port number, nominated sensor, all the necessary details, and used test configuration to see if a test log reached my syslog server. and it did, but the problem is no other logs from MDI is reaching my syslog server. could you provide information about configurations to be done in order to start getting the logs?
Does OneDrive for personal account work yet?
I have been using Dropbox to sync my Word and Excel files. The reason so is because Dropbox allows me to choose what files I want uploaded where I can create custom folders to store them in. The last time I activated OneDrive, it began to upload ALL my files from my computer, including big video files. When I aborted the upload, all the files being uploaded were lost. Luckley I had them backed up on a local drive, but to suffice to say that I am hestitant to use Onedrive again. Has Microsoft finally updated Onedrive to allow users to determine what files they want uploaded and where? Will mt files be safe from being lost? If not, I am thinking of moving to Google or Zoho platforms becauseI have doubts that Microsoft understands how cloud storage actually works for non enterprise platforms. It says I am not following any hubs (image 1), but if I navigate to a hub, it says I am following it without any Boards (image 2). Under Profile | Follows & Notifications | Click on the drop-down menu to Review the Boards. (I am missing a few boards or hubs I once followed.) Image 1 ==Image 2 Recommendation to Contributors: Review your Profile settings to ensure your previous preferences are available. I don't receive notifications from the people I follow. I'm also unable to see a list of followers, follow new members, or search for a contributor. Workaround: If I get lucky and find a recent post or reply from someone I am following, I can click on their profile to review their activity. Another workaround is to save their profile link to the browser. Several indicated they were unable toLike a post. Workaround: You must like the post and then wait a while or refresh your screen. What does this icon do? Reply to a post: Please add a reply option at the top and bottom of the screen. Currently, you must scroll to the bottom of many replies to respond. In the e-mail notification, the link leads precisely to the corresponding post/comment. The browser page needs to be refreshed. As soon as you log in (you usually have to do this x times a day), the link is broken and takes you to the main page. It is practically impossible to search for or find the post/comment here, especially if there are already many comments. Basically the same situation when notifications called up.
