Prime cartoon

Voice actor: Steve Blum (English), Tero Koponen (Finnish), Jaime Roca (Castilian Spanish)

Bombshock and a large number of other Insecticons found their way to Earth, where they locked themselves in stasis. Crossfire They were reactivated by Airachnid, who had them attack the Nemesis. Once Airachnid was put into stasis, her influence over them ended and they declared their allegance to Megatron. Armada Bombshock and his brethren were forced into stasis lock when the Nemesis became sentient and zapped the whole crew complement in stasis. Flying Mind Bombshock was present when Megatron entered the chamber occupied by the Insecticons and asked for the fiercest among them to retrieve the fourth Iacon relic. Toxicity He also took part in the attack on the Autobot base. Darkest Hour

Bombshock was among a group of Insecticons sent to find Predacon remains. Just as he and his pals uncovered a skull, Optimus Prime turned up to spoil their party. Bombshock ordered the other Insecticons to attack, only for them to be soundly stomped by Prime, and Bombshock had to snap off one of the skull's horns and flee. Project Predacon

As a plague began to spread through the ship, Bombshock joined in eradicating the sufferers, at least until Airachnid was brought back online. She soon retook mental control of the Insecticons and instructed them to destroy all of the Decepticons, however she and the Insecticons were transported to one of Cybertron's moons by Soundwave. There, the plague took hold of Airachnid, and she began feeding on the Insecticons, Bombshock included. Thirst

He always overdid it on the slime
  • Bombshock & Shockwave (Cyberverse Commander 2-pack)
  • Accessories: Launcher, missile
A redeco of Hardshell, Bombshock transforms into a robotic horned beetle. For some reason, he's branded with a Predacon faction symbol. His missile launcher, which can be mounted on his back in beetle mode, fires its projectile via pressure-launch.
Bombshock was only available as part of a "Predacons Rising" Commander Class 2-pack with Shockwave, which, as a second wave Predacons Rising release, was only available as a Target exclusive in the United States (and not in Canada, Australia or Europe), even though it was used in official advertising by BigW in Australia (who ultimately only stocked the wave 1 Optimus Prime vs Predaking two-pack).
Curiously, like all Predacons Rising multi-packs featuring redecoed Cyberverse figures, this set doesn't identify the figures as Cyberverse products anywhere on the packaging.
As shown by an official stock photo,[1] the packaging in its original presentation featured the name "Shockwave" in front of Bombshock, who is placed on the left, and "Bombshock" in front of Shockwave, who is placed on the right. By the time the two-pack hit stores, this was remedied by stickers with the correct names covering up the wrong ones. However, the side panels retain the old names and the "wrong" set of tech specs.[2]

Notes

  • Bombshock is not named on-screen in "Project Predacon", but in the episode's voice credits. The episode aired two weeks before the toy's reveal.
  • Maybe the genetic manipulation to which Shockwave subjected Bombshock used Predacon CNA and that's why he's a Predacon now? He's done it before with Ser-Ket.
  • A black, bright-green and teal Insecticon appears in the Robots in Disguise episode "Metal Meltdown". The colors match Bombshock's toy, but are laid out entirely differently, arguably making that guy a separate character.
