A mission gives the recruits a chance to test out their new homemade sirens, but some alien creatures don't react well to loud noise.

Synopsis
The recruits wait anxiously for Grimlock, worried that he'll be angry because they screwed up their last mission. Fortunately the mission was only herding cows, but Grimlock tells the recruits that sometimes they need to get a lot louder to get things done. By way of demonstration, he starts a series of sims where the recruits have to clear a crowd of people who have gathered to look at a fire, warn a ship about the rocks it's heading towards, and herd cows. They fail at each, until Whirl tries using her police siren during the last sim, and succeeds in moving the cows. Hot Shot now has a plan: create sirens for the rest of the team.
Grimlock is later waiting outside the academy with Whirl and Hoist, when Wedge, Medix and Hot Shot arrive showing off their new sirens. Grimlock is impressed with their new loudness, but reports they have an emergency, as a rescue satellite has crash-landed on the planet Krimol. The group space bridges to the planet and Whirl swiftly locates the downed satellite but notes it's being gnawed on by alien creatures. The problem is solved by liberal use of sirens to chase the critters off, however the dust kicked up as the recruits race around makes it impossible to see, resulting in Hoist falling into a crevasse.
Hoist finds all of his systems are damaged and he's unable to reach or contact the others. Grimlock and the rest of the recruits secure the satellite and start down into the crevasse via a convenient path to find their colleague, however Whirl quickly realizes the strange growths scattered around are reacting when they call out to Hoist. She's unsuccessful in warning the others, and as they make as much noise as possible, they're seized by tentacles. In trying to free the others, Whirl discovers the tentacles are ticklish and is able to use the fact to free everyone. They eventually find Hoist, only for Medix's homing signal to go off, agitating the tentacles and resulting in the bridge behind them collapsing, cutting off their escape. Fortunately they have another plan — attracting the attention of another tentacle, they use it to sling themselves out of the crevasse.
After getting the satellite back into orbit, they return to the academy, where Grimlock admits being quiet is sensible sometimes. Then he smashes through the door as he storms off.
