Fast Action Battlers are a subset of the live-action movie toyline featuring Deluxe price-point renditions of movie characters that have been considerably simplified, so as to have the movie cast in toy-forms geared towards children a little too young to handle the more complicated "standard" line. They are a little larger than Deluxe figures and generally feature limited articulation in favor of action features and easy handling. They are similar to the previously-released Star Wars "Force Battler" action figures and the later G.I. Joe "Action Battler" figures—except, obviously, the Star Wars and G.I. Joe figures can't transform.

Only the first three waves of the Fast Action Battlers (sans Frenzy, who was released as a Toy Hobby Market exclusive straight import of the Hasbro version) were released in Japan, where they were involved in a cross-promotion with the concurrently released Beast Wars Telemocha Series of reissues. A blurb on the toys' packaging and small photo-montage shorts of the toys, called Diorama Story (included on the DVDs packaged with the Telemocha figures) presented a scenario that involved the movie universe's Autobots and Decepticons being transported into the middle of the Beast Wars.

Spark Blast Jolt was not released in the United States, but did make it to retail in Europe (or Germany at the very least).

    Multi-packs

  • Rally Mudflap & Offroad Skids
  • This two-pack has been confirmed to have been released in Hong Kong, the Philippines and Australia. Despite misconceptions based on early solicitations, it appears these figures were never intended to be released individually.

    Notes

    • The Fast Action Battler version of Frenzy is the only transforming Frenzy toy so far. This makes him the only in-movie robot character from the first film to get a full transforming toy representation strictly in a subline. (Well, that is if you don't count folding up into Barricade's grille or a two legged boom-box as transforming.)
