László Horányi
From Transformers Wiki
László Horányi (born February 8, 1951) is a Hungarian actor, voice actor and theater director. Some of his more well known voice acting roles include the elderly Professor Charles Xavier of the live-action X-Men film franchise, Captain Jean-Luc Picard in several Star Trek theatrical films (but not in any television series), Davy Jones of the Pirates of the Caribbean films, Nute Gunray of the Star Wars prequel films, and he also became Darth Vader's regular Hungarian dubbing voice in most post-2012 Star Wars media. In animation, he dubbed Chuckie Sol in the film Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, Nappa in Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT, and reprised the role of Professor X for the 2011 X-Men anime series.
He was introduced to the Transformers franchise after the sudden passing of Imre Szélyes, the main Hungarian dubbing actor of Optimus Prime in various media, and had to quickly fill in his role for the film Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. This makes him the fourth Hungarian actor to have dubbed both Darth Vader and Optimus Prime (after Tibor Kristóf, Lajos Kránitz and Gábor Vass); he incidentally inherited both roles as a substitute actor following the previous actors' deaths.
