Republic Attack Cruisers or Jedi Cruisers are vast starships used by the Galactic Republic and their allies to command and deploy their Clone trooper army in their war against the droid forces of the Confederacy. Lieutenant Thire and Anakin Skywalker both possess modified versions of these colossal ships that can change into towering battle robots.

Transformers Crossovers

Lieutenant Thire commanded a modified Republic Attack Cruiser. When Coruscant was besieged by Confederacy droid aircraft, Thire gave the order to change the Attack Cruiser into a mastodonic attack robot that could easily drive back the swarming droids.[1]

Star Wars Transformers

Anakin Skywalker possessed a large mech which could transform into an enormous Jedi Cruiser. When Anakin was seduced by the Dark Side and converted into a Sith Lord, his mech's alternate mode was reconfigured into a Star Destroyer.[2]

Crossovers

  • Lieutenant Thire to Republic Attack Cruiser (2010)
    • Accessories: Bridge/gun, missile
Part of the 13th wave of Star Wars Transformers Crossovers toys, Lieutenant Thire changes from a robot based on your typical clone trooper into a "Republic Attack Cruiser" starship (more specifically known as a Venator-class Star Destroyer). The ship has a large firing missile poking out of its bridge section, which detaches to form a handheld gun in robot mode. Only his left hand can hold the gun as his right hand is sculpted in an open position.
Keeping canonical Star Wars scale in mind, it's a really freaking huge robot.
During the period between 26 December 2010 and 31 January 2011, Hasbro ran their "Supercharge Your Holidays" promotion: for every $20 spent on Hasbro-branded product, customers could receive a free, random product from a list provided by Hasbro. Among the items on the list was "Star Wars Transformers Crossovers". According to this discussion thread on Allspark.com, Lieutenant Thire to Republic Attack Cruiser was one of the figures distributed.
Most if not all instances of the figure are missassembled, with the ship's engines glued upside down and on the wrong sides. This has no effect on transformation and is largely unnoticeable to those without what could probably be considered nerd-level knowledge of the Republic Attack Cruiser design.

Star Wars Transformers

  • Darth Vader to Star Destroyer (2011)
    • Accessories: 2 blue lightsabers, red lightsaber, 2 missiles, 2 hull halves
The sole 'Class III' toy released in the 2011 revival of Star Wars Transformers, The figure can change between Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader personas via a rotating assembly in his abdomen. The ship can transform into both a Star Destroyer or a Republic Attack Cruiser (called a Jedi Cruiser on the box), however the toy is both a heavy shellformer AND a partformer as large chunks of one ship's shell need to be detached and reattached elsewhere to form the other.
In Republic Cruiser mode, the ship's bridge can fire two projectiles from its front. These missiles can still be accessed in Star Destroyer mode, but they don't really make sense.

Notes

  • Within the Star Wars universe, a "Republic Attack Cruiser" is also a type of Star Destroyer—specifically a Venator-class Star Destroyer—and a predecessor to the type listed in the aforementioned article, which is an Imperial-class Star Destroyer.
