Sights (G1)
From Transformers Wiki
This article is about the Generation 1 Autobot. For the Animated Autobot, see Sights (Animated). |
- Sights is an Autobot or Decepticon Action Master partner from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Sights is constantly on the lookout for anything that might enable his partner, Jackpot, to turn a seemingly-impossible feat into reality... and rack up the credits on the bets Jackpot placed on himself. When luck isn't enough, Sights can transform into a photon cannon that can connect to and exponentially amplify the power of Jackpot's own photon rifle.

The Transformers
- Jackpot with Sights (Action Master, 1990)
- Known designers: Masakatsu Saito (concept artist)
- Part of the first assortment of individually-carded Action Masters, released in the seventh and final year of The Transformers in the US,Sights is a mechanical bird with a simple spring-loaded transformation into a "photon cannon" mode that can be held by any Action Master figure. In this mode, he can attach any normal Action Master rifle to the end of his cannon to form a super weapon; in bird-mode he also has a peg-hole to mount any Action Master rifle on his back. His bird-mode feet are removable.
- He was available only with his larger partner Jackpot.
War for Cybertron: Kingdom
- Autobot Jackpot / Autobot Sights (Deluxe, 2021)
- Chapter 2: ...And Out the Other Side
- Accessories: Fire Blast effect
- Part of the second release in the "Golden Disk Collection", War for Cybertron: Kingdom "Autobot Sights" is a redeco of Siege Battle Master Pteraxadon, transforming from an axe into a pterodactyl. Sights's axe mode can be held by or mounted on his partner Jackpot and other figures via 5 mm posts. Though not shown in the instructions, an extra post on the body of the weapon (attached to his head) allows this mode to be held like a blaster, with the handle forming the barrel; the tip of the handle/barrel has a small peg for attaching blast effects. Sights also includes an orange redeco of Pteraxadon's fire blast effect. Sadly, he cannot combine with the blaster included with Jackpot.
- He came packaged with his traditional partner "Autobot Jackpot". Jackpot and Sights were revealed and made available for pre-order on September 28, 2021, and were the second of four daily announcements concerning the Golden Disk Collection; as with the other sets in this series, Jackpot and Sights's packaging is printed with a portion of a Golden Disk graphic, and customers are encouraged to collect all four packs to unite the full image. The figure is an Amazon and Hasbro Pulse exclusive in the U.S., Canada, and the United Kingdom. Unlike the other three Golden Disk Collection sets on Amazon US's website, Jackpot was not made available to international customers and would show up as either being "sold out" or "currently unavailable", then available. The reason why only this set was made unavailable for international customers, is unknown.
- Despite the scheduled release date being for March 1, 2022, Amazon Canada started shipping the set in November 2021[1], with Amazon US following suit in very early December.
- This mold was also used to make Siege Terror-Daxtyl, War for Cybertron Trilogy Enerax, and Shattered Glass Collection Fireglide.

- Wave 4: War for Cybertron: Siege II
- Rarity: UT
- Card Number: T39/T52
- Stars: 6
- Raider Sights, Air Force-Artillery is one of fifty-two double-sided character cards available in Wave 4 of the Transformers Trading Card Game, War for Cybertron: Siege II. As a Battle Master, Raider Sights, Air Force-Artillery begins the game in Bot Mode. Instead of being sent to the KO Area once his Health drops to zero, the card is flipped to the Upgrade side, becoming the Multi-Maneuver Glider Wings, and equipped in the Weapons slot of another character on the player's side of the battlefield. In order to represent Sights' size as a Battle Master, the card is the size of a battle card, about half the size of a normal character card.
- This version of Sights is depicted as being aligned with the Decepticons, unlike the original Autobot-aligned Action Master partner.
- The card features original artwork, with line-art for both sides by Dan Khanna and colors by Alex Tarca.
Notes
- The Action Master partner robots were given the "Targetmaster" classification retroactively by Dreamwave's More than Meets the Eye profile series.
