H.I.S.S. tank accessories
Okay, so what exactly does this thing come with? An anon just changed this page to state that the cassettes represent Buzzsaw, Laserbeak and Sundor; it had previously listed/the Soundwave toy page lists Ravage, Laserbeak and Ratbat. None of the cassettes have this mentioned on their pages at all. --Khajidha 10:25, 3 October 2012 (EDT)
- The previous list was correct. They're not listed on their pages because for the longest time, Derik had decided they were crazy obscure guys he made up, and the name reveal came fairly late. --ItsWalky 11:16, 3 October 2012 (EDT)
- Although the press releases say Ravage, Laserbeak and Ratbat, the actual toys don't match up to that at all, colour-wise... Jalaguy 11:22, 3 October 2012 (EDT)
- I can see where the anon was coming from, as the pictures of the packaging at seibertron.com show all of the cassettes as having Laserbeaks's panel lines. Where were the identities revealed? In the paperwork of the toy? In an interview or a press release? Or what?--Khajidha 11:39, 3 October 2012 (EDT)
- G.I. JOE H.I.S.S. TANK VEHICLE WITH SHOCKWAVE DECO AND 3.75" DESTRO & B.A.T. SPECIAL EDITION PACK

- (Approximate Retail Price: $59.99 each; Ages: 4 & up; Available through HasbroToyShop.com, Booth #3329 at San Diego Comic-Con)
- After the extreme popularity of last year’s G.I. JOE and TRANSFORMERS crossover San Diego Comic-Con special edition, Hasbro has done it again! In 2012, the iconic G.I. JOE vehicle, the H.I.S.S. TANK, will get a DECEPTICON SHOCKWAVE make-over, including a G1 SHOCKWAVE blaster attachment. The set comes with a 3.75-inch DESTRO action figure with special edition DECEPTICON deco, a 3.75-inch COBRA B.A.T. figure with special edition CONSTUCTICON deco. The set also comes with several ENERGON cubes on a cart, a briefcase full of money, and a small boom box with 3 cassette tapes- better known to TRANSFORMERS fans as the classic alt-mode of DECEPTICON spy SOUNDWAVE along with RATBAT, LASERBEAK, and RAVAGE. Yo, Joe AND Roll Out!--ItsWalky 11:52, 3 October 2012 (EDT)
Takara Shockwave trigger?
I've heard from a friend that owns the Takara Shockwave that it uses the different, less inconvenient-looking trigger. Sadly I lack a Hasbro one to compare. Does anyone know if this is true and should we make note of it? Railbomb (talk) 20:44, 23 March 2015 (EDT)
- A quick Google Images Search confirms Takara Shockwave has the same trigger that the Hasbro one does. --ItsWalky (talk) 02:30, 24 March 2015 (EDT)
Is G1 Shockwave the first / only character to both be a targetmaster partner, and to have one of his own?
Kre-O Class of 1984 note
"Kre-O Shockwave's title in the Class of 1984 set (Best Optics) is most likely swapped with Prowl's (Best Logic Processors). This is supported by their classic G1 bios–Shockwave's notes that he serves logic only while Prowl's state that he can track and analyze the trajectory of 800 moving objects."
...surely Shockwave has the title "Best Optics" intentionally, as a joke about him only having one eye? --Andrusi (talk) 14:20, 22 February 2018 (EST)
Toy appearance in James Cameron's Aliens
A post on r/moviedetails talked about how G1 Shockwaves (Or Shackwave, they're not sure which) appears in the film, Aliens, during the scene in the medical lab.
Would this be something worth adding to the notes section of this page? Banannixx (talk) 03:43, 15 November 2020 (EST)
- I wouldn't mind, but I think there's some rule against it. I just checked G1 Grimlock's page (as well as his toy page) and there's no mention of his cameo in the 80's movie Soul Man. I'd wait on a reply from a moderator. --MistaTee (talk) 23:24, 15 November 2020 (EST)
