Talk:The Motor Master
From Transformers Wiki
Son, I am disappoint.
What, no Motorhead references on the images of BotCon Motormaster? He's got a Lemmy 'stache! It's a gimme!--RosicrucianTalk 18:31, 24 February 2011 (EST)
- Derrick commented on twitter that it's not Lemmy-inspired but pro-wrestler inspired. So, like, Hulk Hogan or something. --ItsWalky 19:12, 24 February 2011 (EST)
- "Macho Man" Randy Savage, actually. --Karhukjnsi 19:19, 24 February 2011 (EST)

- Considering the fandom's apparent mass bitching mode, I'm more shocked at the lack of RUINED FOREVER jokes. TFW2005 is claiming it's fake, Allspark is all "NOOO IT SHOULD BE WRECKGAR!!!".... --Detour 18:39, 24 February 2011 (EST)
- RUINED FOREVER usually applies to bitch about something that's supposedly gonna affect the whole franchise. Yes there's bitching here but it's generally limited to this toy/paint scheme whatever kinda sucks. --76.28.76.206 18:45, 24 February 2011 (EST)

Parsing
I'm assuming the space is there in the comic? The box just says "The Motormaster". —Interrobang 21:22, 9 June 2011 (EDT)
- There's a space in the comic, yes. --ItsWalky 21:30, 9 June 2011 (EDT)
- Does fiction always take precedence over the toys? --174.54.85.59 00:37, 15 June 2011 (EDT)
- Except in crazy circumstances, yes, or we'd have "Savage" and "Noble" located at Beast Changer. --ItsWalky 01:02, 15 June 2011 (EDT)
- That's sound reasoning! --174.54.85.59 12:29, 15 June 2011 (EDT)

Bots of Science guy not The Motor Master
The day after BotCon 2011, June 6, as I was riding back to the airport from my hotel via Super Shuttle, the driver stopped at the Sheraton to pick up three more passengers. One of these was Pete Sinclair (and two other guys who's names escape me) and we got talking about the new Animated stuff from this year's convention. During the conversation, the Bots of Science book was brought up and Pete mentioned how the guy who looks like Motormaster reading an issue of CSI is NOT the same person as The Motor Master from The Stunti-Con Job (he said that they instead call that guy "Bob"). My response to thins was something like, "Well you'd better let the TFWiki guys know about that, so they can correct their Animated Motormaster page." Seeing as how it has not been changed since I had that talk with him, I figured I better let you guys know what he said. I know the TFWiki policy about official information being cleared through official channels (meaning that private talks like what I had don't necessarily count as official sources) and that what he said probably strays more towards the realm of Authorial Intent, but a case similar to this was when he said that Animated Longrack was a different individual from Longrack Major. If anyone wants to contact him themselves to offically say state whether the two Motormasters are the same or different, feel free to do so, as we can then put whatever the correct information is into this article. --Sabrblade 18:59, 22 June 2011 (EDT)
- We know author intent says they're different guys. That's not new information. Pete Sinclair has said as much on the Internet before. Whether the article cares is another matter. The difference between the Motormasters and the Longracks is that the new Longrack's bio mentions the old Longrack, making their different-ness officially written out somewhere in published canon. --ItsWalky 01:00, 23 June 2011 (EDT)
- Then, is there anything to say the opposite of his claim? After all, it was also stated that all those cameos on that page in Bots of Science all died. Nothing was said of any of them being resurrected, and to assume that possibility would be leaning a bit towards the realm of fanon over fact. --Sabrblade 01:32, 23 June 2011 (EDT)
- I don't see what purpose splitting this article would serve, other than needlessly confusing our readers.--RosicrucianTalk 03:33, 23 June 2011 (EDT)
- Animated is not a consistent, singular continuity. I think it's time everybody accepted that fact. —Interrobang 06:51, 23 June 2011 (EDT)
