Synopsis
Within Sumdac Systems headquarters, Megatron has finally gotten his mitts on the key and, plugging it in, he is reborn. Professor Sumdac is appalled, at last realizing that Megatron has been fooling him for fifty years!
Outside, a disgruntled Starscream pauses from blasting Bumblebee long enough to see that Megatron has been resurrected.
Observing the lay of the land from high in the sky, Megatron remarks that Earth should be no trouble to conquer. He then notices Optimus Prime and the Autobots down on the ground and claims they have a debt to pay. As Megatron lands, Blitzwing and Lugnut kneel before him. Blitzwing asks if he may join in destroying the Autobots, but Lugnut protests, berating him for trying to steal Megatron's good time.
Starscream then swoops in, reminding Megatron of his unwavering loyalty. Starscream insists that he be allowed to destroy the Autobots, as he doesn't want Megatron to "strain himself". Megatron compliments Starscream for being the "bravest warrior" of all the Decepticons, then promptly punches a hole through his torso. As Starscream doubles over in pain, Megatron leans in and tells him he is aware of his past betrayal. Megatron then extinguishes his spark and leaves his corpse laying on the street.
Megatron next turns his attention to Optimus Prime. Taunting him with the key, he tells Prime that his wait is over and attacks. Without effort, he slams Prime to the pavement and blows the Autobots away with his fusion cannon. Prime, refusing to be defeated, rallies and attacks Megatron with his axe. Megatron counters with his sword and the pair duel.
Some time later, the Elite Guard, led by Ultra Magnus, arrive on Earth. Magnus is disappointed that Prime and his crew have yet to return to Cybertron and demands a full report.
