Thunderblast was one of Swindle's old flames; he named his Ajax P-9000 Grade-B Jump Launch Accelerator after her, as the gun's recoil reminded him of her.
Swindle tried to interest Dion in buying a Jump Launch Accelerator, and reminisced about how it reminded him of Thunderblast, until Onslaught told him to cut the chatter. Flames of Yesterday
2019 IDW continuity
Thunderblast was a member of Mayhem, working to sabotage the Speedia 500 race on Velocitron. Riding atop Slugslinger, she fired on the racers and Wreckers below. After being knocked out of the sky by Aileron, she found herself getting battered by Thunderclash (who commented on her language), and was nearly run over by the oncoming racers before fellow Mayhem member Octopunch stepped in. Tread & Circuits Part 3 Later, her and Slugslinger participated in the assassination attempt on the new First Senator Knock Out, but she was kayoed by Hot Shot. The entire ordeal turned out to be a ruse perpetrated by Mayhem, and they framed Minerva for the attack, with Thunderblast smugly leading the shackled Wrecker away in the end. Tread & Circuits Part 4

Cybertron
- Thunderblast (Deluxe class, 2005)
- Cybertron Thunderblast transforms into a speedboat of undetermined, probably made-up model via shellforming. She has a small, rotating (non-firing) machine gun on the front of her boat mode, and more importantly a large missile rack on a rotating and elevating base on the back. Inserting a Cyber Key into the back of the missile rack opens it up to reveal a spring-loaded missile launcher which uses the torpedoes mounted under her hydrofoils as ammunition. The rack becomes a hand-held weapon for her robot mode. In an undocumented feature, her machine gun can be removed from the front of the boat and pegged into the holes where the missile rack goes in robot mode, giving her a smaller choice of weapon.
- There are several small but significant differences between the Takara Galaxy Force "Chromia" and Hasbro Cybertron Thunderblast versions of the toy. The most important one is that the Takara release has a molding defect that gives her lopsided eyes, a defect that the Hasbro release fixes. There are several small paint operation changes between the two; the Hasbro version loses the silver on the boat mode torpedo racks, makes her silver upper chest armor a single application (the Takara version splits this in half, leaving her collar unpainted), and adds brighter lavender to the circular details on her chest and boat-mode. And of course, the Hasbro version adds a Cyber Key Code to the back of her Cyber Key.
- This mold was also used for BotCon 2009 Elita-1 and was the basis of the non-toy Beast Wars: Uprising version of Scylla.
