Deskee a native of Queens, New York with roots in South Georgia, began his journey with music in the mid 70s. He began deejaying at the age of 11 doing family backyard parties. He further developed his talent under the tutelage of his cousin, the late Kevin Jackson who also a DJ. At age 17, he moved to Germany in 1984 with his mother, the late Lillie M. Gibson who was member of the Armed Forces. Deskee became the headlining DJ for the The Body Snatchers Road Show with members Jerry Tillman and Lorinza Williams. They were a well-renowned act in military clubs throughout Germany. Deskee was later signed to BlackOut Records by owner Achim Szepanski to launch their new independent record label, BlackOut.
