Born and Raised on the southwest side of Chicago Illinois. Roberto Espinosa a.k.a. Rude Boy Rob ( RBR } began his musical journey at the young age of 12 years old, experimenting with his parent’s cassette players and vinyl record players to blend music together. RBR, like so many others in Chicago, listened and admired the mixing styles of the Hotmix 5 on radio station 102.7fm WBMX in Chicago. It was the mixing and scratching styles of Farley "Funkin" Keith later changed to, Farley Jackmaster Funk, that inspired Rob to experiment with scratching techniques and turntable trickery using 12” records.
