dy:ad progressed from creating hip hop beats for his hometown crew to producing electronic music in his teenage years. After buying his first pair of Technics 1210, he began to casually DJ at parties thrown by friends. His excitement, however, always came from playing with and learning from the analogue equipment he acquired over the years. As his bedroom studio gradually evolved, so did his production skills. Refining his sound for more than a decade, dy:ad has recently found himself in dark, deep and atmospheric acoustic soundscapes. Finding inspiration in the obscure feelings, fragilities and challenging emotions of life unleashes his creativity. dy:ad’s productions are described best as dreamy and hypnotic sonic journeys embedded in melancholic, dramatic and yet minimalistic scenery.
