Robert E. Livingood offers genre bending electronic music for the liberation of the human body. He has performed at notable electronic music festivals such as Shambhala and Burning Man, yet his favorite places to play are the most unorthodox–the dark basements, the high-country meadows, the spontaneous parking lot parties, pop-up gallery shows, and other secret zones of temporary autonomy. For music production he employs the use of old hardware synthesizers, drum machines, human voice, field recordings from the deep wilderness, and found objects to create raw, synth heavy, mutant dance tracks as well as ambient pieces enveloped in smokey atmospheric layers of sound. Originally from Detroit’s industrial cauldron, he now inhabits the mountains of western Canada and Alaska where his inspiration is derived from wild landscapes.
