Project Weekend

Hailing from the lil isle of Tasmania, Mark Reid aka Project Weekend started his musical journey as a drummer in numerous metal bands. Attended the Hobart Conservatorium of Music to study contemporary drums, and it was during this time his interest in Electronic music production began. Now he plays numerous gigs around t he lit t le t own of Hobart ranging from minimal and tech house to electro and fidget as well as some hard trance and hardstyle.Project Weekend was signed to Komplex Sounds in late 2011 for his original track Mass Destruction which debut at 'Seize the Night' January 2012.This year for Project Weekend will also release 'Dirty Girl' and many more Complextro/Electro Grit and also celebrates is recent residency at Syrup@PlanB in Hobart beginning in April 2012.
