Mille Plateaux / Trapez / Seppüku Records --- Deepchild is production alias of Rick Bull, formerly Berlin-based dj, producer and sound designer, who’s dub-soaked, muscular dancefloor aesthetic has seen him perform as live in spaces spanning Berlin’s Berghain / Panoramabar, to the Sydney Opera House, Detroit “Movement” Festival, and countless club tours from Tokyo to Eastern Europe. A distinctly tensile, sensual and hauntological take on deeper techno has spawned releases and remixes for labels like Mille Plateaux, Future Classic, BBE, Leisure System, Trapez, Affin, Freerange Records and the artist’s own Seppüku Records. Granular, noise-heavy and smeared with signature vocal fragments, Bull’s work calls forth the futurist trajectory of early 2000s micro-house and ‘clicks and cuts’
