Alighted

McLean Macionis, aka Alighted, is a forward-thinking composer, producer, and educator whose solo and collaborative works live at the intersection of music, engineering, and the human experience. A recent transplant to the northeast, Macionis previously lived in California where he worked as a composer for film and television. He has also worked as a sound designer and performance artist. Macionis graduated with a Master of Fine Arts degree in Music Technology from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) where he later taught courses in interface design and mechatronic sound art. He is the author of two published papers in the Proceedings of the International Conference on New Interfaces for Musical Expression, both of which describe original research in the field of music technology. Macionis currently releases music under the moniker Alighted
