Calypso Jet

Calypso Jet was initially used as a name to produce remixes under for Scottish band The Cairds in 2017. It wasn’t until 2020, however, that Calypso Jet became it’s own thing. During the strange times we all found ourselves in, and heavily motivated by Elliot Adamson’s album “95 Bonnie and Clyde”, work began on what would become the debut single from Calypso Jet, “Trying”, released in August 2020. More singles followed between August and December of 2020, with tracks “Cafe Disco” and “1993” being played on BBC Introducing, the latter played as a pick on Phoebe I-H and Shereen Cutkelvin's “ New Music for 2021” show. 2021 saw Calypso Jet sign with Sun Turtle Records, through which his debut EP ‘Nineties’ would be released.
