     Robert Molesworth, 1st Viscount Molesworth of Swords was born on 7 September 1656 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He was the son of Robert Molesworth and Judith Bysse.¹ He married Hon. Laetitia Coote, daughter of Richard Coote, 1st Lord Coote, Baron of Coloony and Mary St. George, on 16 August 1676.² He died on 22 May 1725 at age 68.¹
     He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.² He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] in 1679.² He was Envoy to Denmark between 1689 and 1692.² On 7 May 1689 he was attainted by King James II's Irish Parliament as a Williamite.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Camelford between 1695 and 1698.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dublin [Ireland] between 1695 and 1699.² He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] between 1702 and 1713.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Swords [Ireland] between 1703 and 1714.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lostwithiel from 1705 to 1706.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Retford between 1706 and 1708.² He was Commissioner of Trade and Plantations from 1714 to 1715.² He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] in 1715.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for St. Michael between 1715 and 1722.² He was created 1st Viscount Molesworth of Swords, co. Dublin [Ireland] on 16 July 1716.¹ He was created 1st Lord Molesworth, Baron of Philipstown, in King's County [Ireland] on 16 July 1716.³ He had seven other children.²

     Hon. Laetitia Coote was the daughter of Richard Coote, 1st Lord Coote, Baron of Coloony and Mary St. George.² She married Robert Molesworth, 1st Viscount Molesworth of Swords, son of Robert Molesworth and Judith Bysse, on 16 August 1676.³ She died on 17 March 1729/30 at Brackanstown, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹
     From 16 August 1676, her married name became Molesworth.¹ After her marriage, Hon. Laetitia Coote was styled as Viscountess Molesworth of Swords on 16 July 1716.

     Robert Molesworth was the son of William Molesworth and Mary Palmes.² He married Judith Bysse, daughter of John Bysse.³ He died on 3 September 1656.³
     He was a merchant at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.³ He was Officer in the Civil War in Ireland.³ He subscribed £1,500 for 2,500 acres in the (territorial) Baronies of Moghergallin and Lune, County Meath.³

     Judith Bysse is the daughter of John Bysse.¹ She married, firstly, Robert Molesworth, son of William Molesworth and Mary Palmes.² She married, secondly, Sir William Tichborne after 1656.²
     Her married name became Molesworth. From after 1656, her married name became Tichborne.²

     Colonel Hugh Massy was born in 1685.² He is the son of Hugh Massy and Amy Benson.³ He married Elizabeth Evans, daughter of Rt. Hon. George Evans and Mary Eyre.³
     He lived at Duntrileague, County Limerick, Ireland^G.⁴

     Elizabeth Evans was the daughter of Rt. Hon. George Evans and Mary Eyre.¹ She married Colonel Hugh Massy, son of Hugh Massy and Amy Benson.²
     Her married name became Massy.¹

     Simon Purdon was baptised in 1691.² He was the son of Simon Purdon and Helena Synge.² He married Elizabeth Purdon, daughter of George Purdon.³ He died in November 1791, without issue.²
     He lived at Tinerana, County Clare, Ireland^G.³

     Mary Dawson is the daughter of Colonel James Dawson.¹ She married Hugh Massy, 1st Baron Massy of Duntrileague, son of Colonel Hugh Massy and Elizabeth Evans, before 1733.²
     From before 1733, her married name became Massy.³
