Archibald Edmonstone, 10th of Duntreath was the son of Archibald Edmonstone, 9th of Duntreath and Anna Helena Scott.2,3 He married, firstly, Hon. Anne Erskine, daughter of David Erskine, 2nd Lord Cardross, on 22 April 1713 at Strathblane, Stirlingshire, Scotland.1,3 He married, secondly, Anne Campbell, daughter of Hon. John Campbell and Elizabeth Elphinstone, on 4 October 1716 at Old Kilpatrick, Dunbartonshire, ScotlandG.4 He died in 1768.3

Sir Archibald Edmonstone of Duntreath, 1st Bt. was born on 10 October 1717 at Old Kilpatrick, Silver Bouks, Dunbartonshire, ScotlandG.2 He was the son of Archibald Edmonstone, 10th of Duntreath and Anne Campbell.3,2 He married, secondly, Hester Heathcote, daughter of Sir John Heathcote, 2nd Bt. and Bridget White.1 He married Susanna Mary Harenc, daughter of Roger Harenc and Susanna Hays, in October 1753.2 He died in July 1807 at age 89.1
He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dumbartonshire and Ayr and Irvine between 1761 and 1795.1 He was created 1st Baronet Edmonstone, of Duntreath [Great Britain] on 20 May 1774.1

Sir Charles Edmonstone of Duntreath, 2nd Bt. was born on 10 October 1764.1 He was the son of Sir Archibald Edmonstone of Duntreath, 1st Bt. and Susanna Mary Harenc.2 He married Emma Wilbraham-Bootle, daughter of Richard Wilbraham-Bootle and Mary Bootle, on 1 June 1794.2 He married, secondly, Hon. Louisa Hotham, daughter of Beaumont Hotham, 2nd Baron Hotham of South Dalton and Susannah Hankey, on 5 December 1804.1 He died on 1 April 1821 at age 56 at Brighton, Sussex, EnglandG.3,4
