     Vice-Admiral Hon. Sir Henry Hotham was born on 19 February 1777.1 He was the son of Beaumont Hotham, 2nd Baron Hotham of South Dalton and Susannah Hankey.2 He married Lady Frances Anne Juliana Rous, daughter of John Rous, 1st Earl of Stradbroke and Frances Juliana Warter-Wilson, on 6 July 1816.1 He died on 19 April 1833 at age 56 at Malta, while commanding the Mediterranean Fleet.1
     He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral of the Red.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.)1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)1

     Lady Frances Anne Juliana Rous was the daughter of John Rous, 1st Earl of Stradbroke and Frances Juliana Warter-Wilson.2 She married Vice-Admiral Hon. Sir Henry Hotham, son of Beaumont Hotham, 2nd Baron Hotham of South Dalton and Susannah Hankey, on 6 July 1816.1 She died on 31 January 1859.1
     From 6 July 1816, her married name became Hotham.
