Julia Woobine Kirkpatrick was born in 1791.1 She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. William Kirkpatrick and Maria Seton Pawson.1 She married Edward Strachey, son of Sir Henry Strachey, 1st Bt. and Jane Kelsall, on 13 October 1808.2 She died in 1847.1

Sir Edward Strachey, 3rd Bt. was born on 12 August 1812 at Sutton Court, Chew Magna, Somerset, England.1 He was the son of Edward Strachey and Julia Woobine Kirkpatrick.1 He married, firstly, Elisabeth Wilkinson, daughter of Reverend W. Wilkinson, in 1844 at Clifton, Bristol, England.1 He married, secondly, Mary Isabella Symonds, daughter of John Addington Symonds and Harriet Sykes, on 3 November 1857 at Clifton, Bristol, England.1 He died on 24 September 1901 at age 89 at Sutton Court, Chew Magna, Somerset, England.1
He wrote the book A Commentary on the Marriage Service, published 1843.2 He wrote the book Shakespeare's Hamlet: an Attempt to find a Key to a great Moral Problem, published 1848.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Strachey, of Sutton Court [U.K., 1801] on 11 April 1858.3 He held the office of High Sheriff of Somerset in 1864.4 He wrote the book Jewish History and Politics, published 1874.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Somerset.4 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Somerset.4
