     Edward Collingwood Wake-Walker was born on 22 October 1952.¹ He is the son of Cedric Collingwood Wake-Walker and Margaret Iona Letitia Maclean.² He married Fiona Margaret Hodgson, daughter of Commander Michael John Hodgson, in 1982.¹
     He was Head of PR, Royal National Lifeboat Institution.¹ He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England.¹ He lived in 2003 at 5 West Street, Kingston, Wareham, Dorset, England.¹

     Commander Michael John Hodgson lived at Hill House, Turleigh, Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire, England.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.)¹ He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy.¹
