Sir Wilfrid Lawson, 8th Bt. was born circa 1707. He was the son of Sir Alfred Lawson, 7th Bt. He died on 1 December 1762 at Barnby Moor, Nottinghamshire, England.
He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Lawson, of Isell [E., 1688] on 14 February 1752. He held the office of Sheriff of Cumberland from 1756 to 1757.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cumberland from 1761 to 1762.1
