- Comment I wondered about the relation of IATE to EuroVoc (Q1370467). According to IATE User's Handbook, IATE seems to follow the EuroVoc structure, with EuroVoc terms incorporated as a subset of IATE. --Jneubert (talk) 16:55, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Jneubert: IATE uses EuroVoc's domains and micro-thesauruses for its entities, so for example, nuclear power plant is in the same domain (66 energy, 6621 electrical and nuclear industries) like the EuroVoc concept. EuroVoc uses IATE for enriching its concepts with definitions and labels in EU24 languages. Generally speaking, IATE is updated more frequently and has a wider scope as its purpure is to fulfil the terminological needs of the EU. Bencemac (talk) 20:19, 23 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Horcrux: (or anyone else) if I create it, will you add all the required statements? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 22:02, 16 February 2023 (UTC)
- I cannot ensure you I will. Anyhow, I don't think this is relevant for the creation. If the property does exist and it is useful, it will eventually be used. --Horcrux (talk) 10:11, 17 February 2023 (UTC)
