Motivation
[edit]The pre-existing "LGD local body code" property which is used for various types of Indian administrative entities like states/districts/subdistricts has a couple of problems. Firstly the collision problem, there can be collision across various entity types( a state LGD code can be the same of another district's LGD code ). Secondly, there is also a problem where any block of West Bengal has 2 LGD codes, one as subdistrict and another as a block, this breaks the single value constraint. Creation of separate LGD State or UT code, LGD District Code, LGD Subdistrict Code, LGD Block Code etc would alleviate these problems. LGD Village Code is one of the separate identifiers which is to be used only for the Village entities. RamSeraph (talk) 12:35, 18 May 2024 (UTC)

- Support. I recommend using LGD Census Village Code to avoid ambiguity, as village is used for big and small villages. LGD village panchayat code also would be needed.--Arjunaraoc (talk) 08:40, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
- Existing LGD local body code (P6425) will be used for all local bodies including Gram Panchayats. The id space has been checked for collisions. It looks fine. RamSeraph (talk) 14:25, 21 May 2024 (UTC)

- @RamSeraph, Arjunaraoc, Back ache: Done as LGD Village Code (P12745). Regards, ZI Jony (Talk) 07:11, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
- I have created the URL match for it, haven't done the title extract pattern as they have some silly javascript mechanism for stopping you see the source and when you do hack around that its overly complex inside and "lifes to short" Back ache (talk) 10:59, 27 May 2024 (UTC)
