Motivatie
S. Perquin (talk) 20:25, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
- [Google translation: Wikisage is the second largest Dutch-language internet encyclopedia. The Royal Library designated Wikisage as digital heritage in 2018. Since Wikisage contains almost 66,000 articles, I think it would be a good idea to link these articles to an entry on Wikidata. Of course, not all articles will be able to be linked to an item on Wikidata, but I think this can be done for many of the articles.]
Discussion
[edit]- Oppose Wikisage is stuff copied from Wikipedia combined with crap curated by users who generally have a problematic history on the Dutch Wikipedia. Multichill (talk) 18:10, 4 January 2024 (UTC)
- Wikisage indeed features articles removed from Wikipedia, but Wikisage has an inclusionist view of information. Many articles that are considered controversial or alternative and are removed from Wikipedia, do get a place on Wikisage. Personally, I think this is a good thing because it gives every topic a chance to exist. I can also understand why users move from Wikipedia to Wikisage, because on Wikipedia they are not always given the freedom to write what they want to write about. I would not consider Wikisage as an alternative to Wikipedia, but more of a complement. All in all, I think Wikisage has the right to get a property because, among other things, it is digital heritage according to the Royal Library of the Netherlands. S. Perquin (talk) 18:59, 4 January 2024 (UTC)
- Wikisage has its own rules and priorities with regard to what comprises human knowledge and how to maintain it. If it was the same as Wikipedia, what would be the point? Guido den Broeder (talk) 22:50, 6 January 2024 (UTC)
- Multichill, one of the basic principles of Wikipedia is that texts can be copied / used in other locations. So that can't be a problem. Wikidata provides a reference to the same texts in multiple locations. Much of Wikipedia is translated from other Wikipedia sites. After which a page takes on a life of its own. The fact that nonsense is written on Wikisage is your prejudice/belief. You have to stick to the facts. It is clear to me how you feel about Guido. But I know of two active user who is blocked on Wikipedia.nl. The other users make contributions on both sites. Some under a different username. The need for another Wiki, which was seen in 2007, has unfortunately become reality. The atmosphere in which people work has become less and less. Neutrality is also under pressure. Wikipedia is increasingly becoming an extension of the skeptical sites. I can no longer regard the description of, for example, a Rudolf Steiner as neutral. Lidewij C J. Support Formal support on behalf of the Stichting Paraduin. Guido den Broeder (talk) 22:52, 6 January 2024 (UTC)- Oppose Support withdrawn. We will start our own Wikidata in due time, if we think is has merit. Guido den Broeder (talk) 18:22, 11 January 2024 (UTC)
- Neutral, Wikisage is found by the search engines. Wikisage itself links to Wikidata in places where it may be of interest to readers. Lidewij C J. (talk) 14:56, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose I can't see the point of an identifier for a very partial mirror of Wikipedia. Cheers, VIGNERON (talk) 15:42, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
- To be clear, Wikisage is not a mirror site of anything. Guido den Broeder (talk) 16:34, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
