The Editor-in-Chief of Bulbapedia is the head editor of Bulbapedia, in charge of coordinating the activities of the Leadership Board as well as directing the editors of Bulbapedia in general. Generally, the Editor-in-Chief is responsible for the appearance of the wiki, and is one of Bulbagarden's chief executives, answering directly to Archaic.

The Editor-in-Chief will serve in this position for as long as they feel as though they can capably run the site. When they decide to move on, the Editor-in-Chief will choose a successor from among the Leadership Board and train their successor in the responsibility and full power of Editor-in-Chief. At this point, the old Editor-in-Chief will remain indefinitely as an Executive Policymaker on the wiki, serving as an advisory to the Leadership Board. If Archaic does not feel the Editor-in-Chief is properly doing their job, he may relieve the Editor-in-Chief of their duty and is the only person that can do as such. Any Editor-in-Chief involuntarily removed from duty will not become an Executive Policymaker.

The present Editor-in-Chief is Maverick Nate.
