The Fates Collide Prerelease Kit is a special product given to participants at the start of Prerelease Tournaments for the Fates Collide expansion. Prerelease Tournaments for the Fates Collide expansion were held on the two weekends prior to the release of the expansion, on April 23–24, and April 30 - May 1, 2016. Each Kit contains a random set of predetermined cards designed to enhance the experience of the Limited format tournament that follows.
Included in each Prerelease Kit is a 23-card Evolution pack that includes one of four specially stamped Prerelease cards for the expansion, as well as four booster packs. The Prerelease cards for the Fates Collide expansion are Moltres, White Kyurem, Zygarde, and Tyranitar, with the four different groups of possible Pokémon cards being based on their four types: Fire-type, Water-type, Fighting-type, and Darkness-type.
The Fates Collide Prerelease Kits provided one exclusive Non Holofoil of a card which was only released as Holofoil in Fates Collide booster packs: Delphox. This Non Holo Delphox would later be obtainable in the Sky Guardian Theme Deck.

Shuckle may also be present in a Prerelease Kit, in no particular group. A Kit may contain up to 2 copies of Shuckle, and it will replace a Pokémon with multiple copies of (for example; 2 Shuckles may be present in the Moltres Group having replaced 1 copy each of Fennekin and Braixen or 1 Shuckle may be present in the Tyranitar Group having replaced 1 Vullaby). While Shuckle is a Grass type, it does not require any Grass Energy to attack so therefore it can fit nicely into any of the Prerelease Kit groups.
Section 2
Each Prerelease Kit also included an additional random group of predetermined Trainer cards. A total of 6 Trainer cards are included with 2-3 in any combination of the Supporter cards and 3-4 in any combination of Item cards were included (but no more than 2 copies of a particular Trainer card).
