Location Location of Medali in Paldea.
|
Medali (Japanese: チャンプルタウン Chanpuru Town) is a town in the Paldea region, located at the base of Glaseado Mountain's Dalizapa Passage and West Province (Area Three), as well as being located not far from the Zero Gate, the entrance to the Great Crater of Paldea and, by extension, Area Zero.
The town is known for hosting a variety of restaurants and food vendors, the most prominent being the Treasure Eatery.
Because of the Gym's specialized type, the people of this town tend to walk around accompanied by Normal-type Pokémon.

Pokémon Horizons: The Series
Medali briefly appeared in a flashback in Flying Pikachu, Rising Higher and Higher!, where a younger Friede was seen meeting his former teacher, Lucca, at the Treasure Eatery.
In HZ057, it was revealed that Dot would have to battle Larry at Medali for her second Terastal Training test. Due to it being the closest of their respective destinations, Liko, Roy, and Dot decided to head there first. They arrived in the city in the next episode, where they assisted the owners of the struggling Anything Eatery restaurant and its mascot Pokémon, Kingambit.
In HZ059, Dot had his test battle against Larry, during which her Quaxly evolved into Quaxwell. Although she still lost the match, Larry gave a positive review on her performance, allowing her to pass the test. In the following episode, the trio changed into winter clothes and headed off to Glaseado Mountain for Liko and Roy's respective test battles.

Trivia
- Due to the Battle Court being placed in the Treasure Eatery instead of outside, if Nemona challenges the player character in Medali, the battle will take place in front of the Gym building instead.
- A poster containing silhouettes of Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti can be seen outside of the Treasure Eatery, hinting at The Teal Mask expansion of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
- Once the player has 999 Gimmighoul Coins, a man in Medali will collect any excess coins for the player. Once the player has less than 999 coins again, the collected amount can be received from the man.
