Mechanics
The player can leave up to two Pokémon at the Pokémon Nursery, where they may breed to produce Eggs. When the player's Pokémon have made an Egg, the Pokémon Nursery lady outside will cross her arms in order to notify the player that an Egg has been made. If the player's party is full when they attempt to obtain an Egg, they can choose to send it to their PC or swap it with a Pokémon in their party.
Unlike the Pokémon Day Care, Pokémon left at a Pokémon Nursery do not gain experience. RetrievingSMUSUM or depositingSwSh a Pokémon costs $500.

In Pokémon Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, the Pokémon Nursery is located in Paniola Ranch on Akala Island. Its slogan is "Find some Pokémon Eggs!"
The Pokémon Nursery is run by a pair of Pokémon Breeders, two sisters who were inspired by the Pokémon Day Cares in other regions. Upon the player's first visit, the lady inside the Nursery will give the player an Egg containing Eevee.
A lady in the Nursery will tell the player what type a Pokémon's Hidden Power is.

In Pokémon Sword and Shield, there are two Pokémon Nurseries — one on Route 5 and one in Bridge Field in the Wild Area. Both nurseries' slogan is "You've found the right place to come for all your Pokémon Egg finding needs."
All functions of both Nurseries are handled by the Nursery helper outside the building. Inside the Route 5 Nursery, a female Pokémon Breeder will give the player a newly hatched Toxel. The other attendant will offer to explain the mechanics of Pokémon Breeding. The player cannot enter the Wild Area Nursery.
When two Pokémon of the same species are left at a Nursery, and one knows an Egg Move while the other has at least one empty move slot, the Pokémon with an empty move slot will learn Egg Moves (excluding Volt Tackle) known by the other Pokémon after a short time, up to the number of empty move slots. Moves are transferred in descending order on the move list. Moves can be transferred between Pokémon of the same gender, but not between different stages of the same evolutionary line.

In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Solaceon Town's Pokémon Day Care is replaced by a Pokémon Nursery. The building itself is identical to the Day Care, with its only differences being its name and that it does not cause Pokémon left there to gain experience or learn moves.
