Shimmer Hill (Japanese: かがやきのおか Bright Hill) is a dungeon in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. Deoxys can be found on the 17th floor if the player has the Mystery Part or Secret Slab in the bag.

It can be unlocked after graduation. In Explorers of Time and Darkness, it is unlocked by accepting an escort mission available after reaching Bronze Rank. In Explorers of Sky, it is instead unlocked by finding its location at the bottom of a drink in Spinda's Café.

A locked room containing the Yellow Silk trade item can be found on the 15th floor.

Gameplay

The jobs are ranked E, ★2 or ★3 by default, depending on the floor.

The dungeon uses following layouts:

Medium-sized with 3-8 rooms on floor 1 and 3-9 rooms on floors 2, 3, and 4
Large-sized with following amount of rooms
- 3-8 on floor 11
- 3-10 on floor 13
- 3-12 on floors 5 and 15
- 3-13 on floors 6 and 16
- 3-14 on floors 7 and 17
- 3-15 on floor 8
Floors 9, 10, 12 and 14 are five rooms in a cross shape.

There's 2-5 items on the ground on floors 1 through 9, and 3-6 on floors 10 through 19. There's 4-7 items in the walls. There's 2-3 starting enemies on floors 1 through 3, 2-4 on floors 4 through 10, and 3-6 on later floors.

The IQ Booster activates on every even floor. The turn limit is 1000. Items spawn sticky 5% of the time. There is water on floors 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 1 and 16. Enemies on floors 1 through 9 have 150IQ and 331IQ on floors 10 through 17.

The weather is rain on floors 6 and 10, cloudy on floor 7 and fog on floor 8.

Pokémon encountered

Each time player enters a floor, only 14 of the following species that can be found on a given floor will be chosen. The unpicked Pokémon's spawn rate will be added to whichever picked Pokémon is next in the National Dex order, going back to the beginning if needed.
