The result was redirect to Hyperion Cantos. Consensus is that this should not be a separate article, but there's disagreement about whether and what to merge. A redirect allows merging whatever's useful (and sourceable!) later from the history. Sandstein 20:55, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Plot element from a series of novels, not independently notable (WP:GNG) for lack of substantial coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the author of the fictional work described. Merge to Hyperion Cantos per WP:ATD, trimming appropriately. The "not suitable merger" comment from this nom, and similar ones by others, ignore the point that deletion removes ALL plot summary, not just the excessive bit, such that a trim in the process of merging is correction through normal editing, triggering WP:ATD.
