Gaidora (BWU)
From Transformers Wiki
This article is about the Beast Wars: Uprising Predacon. For the Go! Predacon, see Gaidora (Go!). |
- Gaidora is a Predacon from the Beast Wars: Uprising portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
If Preditron is an example of an elder statesman of the Predacons, then Gaidora would be the rebellious teenager. She's got no respect for old geezers with their stupid ideas of "honor" and junk, or sickly prisoners. But she is loyal to the cause of the Resistance, and willing to do anything for it. Especially if it involves beating people up. Especially if those people happen to be said geezers.

Beast Wars: Uprising
Gaidora was the number two bot at Safe Zone Alpha Two, a Resistance base near Protihex, where she worked under Ikard. When the order came down from on high that Preditron had to die in the Resistance's version of the Games, Gaidora was sent to knock him out, laughing when the old guy said he didn't want to hurt her. As they fought, she mocked him for his age, and his choice of beast mode. Then she jumped away from the fight, as Ikard came up from behind to knock Preditron out. Before he passed out, Gaidora informed him that Lio Convoy said "hi".
The next day, she marched out the Micromaster P.O.W.s and Preditron into the arena. When Cheetor and Ser-Ket confronted Ikard about this, he sicced Gaidora on them, and she knocked them into the arena. Safe Spaces

Toys
Go!
- Gaidora (2013-06-22)
- Japanese ID number: G04
- Accessories: Missile launcher, double-headed missile, tail-whip
- Part of the second wave of Go! toys, Gaidora is a redeco and retool of Prime: Beast Hunters Deluxe Class Lazerback, with a new head, and transforms into a drake. His tail detaches to become a whip that is held by his hands via 5 mm post, and his dragon back hinges over his head in robot mode to reveal a spring-loaded missile launcher which fires a single, double-pronged missile. The launcher itself is attached to a peg-hole on his back, and can be detached for use as a hand-held weapon. Due to the larger size of his retooled head, some fans have reported problems folding the head through the transformation and properly connecting the beast mode head. Also, since Gaidora is packaged in robot mode holding his tail-whip weapon, some fans have been reported seeing stressed plastic on his left hand.
- The original version of this mold was redecoed to make Beast Hunters Vertebreak.
