Godzilla (ゴジラ Gojira) is a mysterious creature similar to King Kong. He is big, green black most of the time, snorts fire, and is lizard-like.
Mechagodzilla exists as a robotic duplicate.

In 2024, Megatron travelled to Earth through the space bridge. This attracted the attention of Godzilla; seeing power for what it was, Megatron scanned the DNA within the beast's cells, recreating Godzilla's energy and body within Megatron. - Part of T-SPARK's Synergenex line of collector-targeted crossover toys celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Godzilla franchise, "Megatron Type Godzilla" is a retool of Studio Series 86 Grimlock, decked in colors representing the King of Monsters during the Millennium era. His dino neck is cast in translucent blue plastic partially painted black to evoke the charging of Godzilla's Atomic Breath, and he includes stackable blast effect parts, of the same set first introduced for Siege Omega Supreme, to represent this fiery attack. He has a new robot head, originally designed to be Sludge. His blaster, carried over from Grimlock, is now cast in silver plastic.
- This figure was revealed alongside "Optimus Prime Type MFS-3 Kiryu", a Mechagodzilla-themed redeco of the Legacy Laser Optimus Prime as an homage to Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla and Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S..

- Godzilla had his own Marvel Comics series in which he was hunted down by Dum Dum.
- Super-God Masterforce head writer Masumi Kaneda has stated that God Ginrai (ゴッドジンライ) was named so that omitting every other Japanese syllable yields the word Gojira (ゴジラ), the original Japanese name for Godzilla.
- Hojoni ("Kremzeek!") and Humungado ("The Attack of Humungado") are pastiches of Godzilla.
- Tri-Rex's roar sounds identical to Godzilla's.
- Cruellock's alt-mode is based on Godzilla's appearance in the 1998 film.
- Dalung Master's alt-mode is based on Godzilla.
- "The Champ" has Grimlock mimic Godzilla's infamous sliding tail-kick from Godzilla vs. Megalon.
- "The Big Operation to Help Santa!" also has Grimlock use his flame breath to propel himself through the air, in reference to an infamous scene from Godzilla vs. Hedorah.
- A G1 Shockwave figure in his alt-mode was used to portray Torema's laser gun in the 1997 short-form TV series Godzilla Island.
- Erik Aadahl provided the sound design for the titular creature's roar in the 2014 reboot.
