Subclasses and instances

[edit]

Hi, it was agreed earlier in WikiProject Chemistry that chemical compounds are classified using instance of (P31) not subclass of (P279). I don't think that this is the best way to do this, but until the proper classification of chemical compounds is discussed and agreed, using instance of (P31) is more coherent and it'll be easier to change is automatically or semi-automatically in the future. Hi, @Wostr:. Thanks for your kind suggestion and efforts in WikiProject Chemistry. Exactly, I agree that the chemical compounds, I understand as "the items of specific chemical compound name" such as acrylic acid (Q324628) and Polyphenyl ether (Q7226747), should be currently classified using instance of (P31), not subclass of (P279). From now, I try it and I'll re-edit the mistakes. If you find something mistakes, please let me know them in the future. Skume84 (talk) 12:38, 7 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, @Wostr:. I changed Polyphenyl ether (Q7226747) using instance of (P31). Please check it. Skume84 (talk) 12:42, 7 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

In addition, I am checking both class names in Japanese and English, but sometimes the Japanese name/meaning is close to the chemical group name. If this is the case, I will consider it carefully. Skume84 (talk) 13:06, 7 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
